When you come home for Christmas

Set the blessing in motion
Set the Blessing
in Motion
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
(Luke 6:38, ESV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
God is a god of abundance! He wants to pour out His abundance on you until you are so full that you are running over with His goodness. Notice how this verse starts. It says, “Give, and it will be given to you.” That’s because your giving sets the blessing of God into motion in your life. Giving is like a seed. When you plant an apple seed, it doesn’t just grow a single fruit. That one seed grows into a tree that produces an abundance of apples! That’s what happens when you obey God in your giving. You receive an abundant harvest in return. It’s overflowing, literally “running over!” And when the blessing is running over, it means you have so much that you want to give more. The cycle just keeps repeating itself! Is there something the Lord is telling you to give today? It could be financial, material or even your talents and service to others.
What do you have in your hand that you can use to bless someone else? Take a step today and set the blessing of God into motion in your life. Open the door for His blessing to be running over in every area of your life today!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I choose to obey Your Word. I choose to be a tither and a giver. I choose to obey Your word and step out in faith knowing that every seed I sow will come back in abundance in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Joy unspeakable
You know God blesses us everytime but sometimes we're to busy to realize but if we just look back, it's really wonderful what he has given us. Well, for me he's given me so much joy and I can't help but use these lyrics:
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it, yeah
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it, yeah
If life is water, I was dry as Tucson dirt
If it's a gamble, I'd already lost my shirt
If it's a journey, I was dazed without a clue
I flipped a "U" back to the first love I ever knew
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it, yeah
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it, yeah
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it, yeah
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I receive it, I receive it, yeah
If life's a battle, the invasion is complete
If it's a rhythm, I have found the perfect beat
If it's a renaissance, I've got a new birthday
The world don't give it and the world can't take it away
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it, yeah
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it, yeah
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it, yeah
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I receive it, I receive it, yeah
I'm bowed and broken, everything's new
All that I need, You're like water to seed
And how Your love rights everything wrong
And in my weakness, You're ever stronger
You're pulling me back where I belong
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it, yeah
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it, yeah
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I receive it, I receive it, yeah
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it, yeah
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it, yeah
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it, yeah
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I receive it, I receive it, yeah

70*7
When you are upset, you say a lot of things that you probably don't mean and when the phase is over, you want to be forgiven, you pray that the person you said those words to let's them go.
Personally, it pains me when someone doesn't let go of whatever it is that is hurting them that another human (especially me) caused. Even if the person doesn't ask for forgiveness, letting it go frees your mind.
Ephesians 4:32 NIV
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Now if I ask for forgiveness more than 7 times, do I still deserve your forgiveness?
Matthew 18:21 KJV
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Matthew 18:22 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Seventy times 7 is 490. Now if someone "sins" against you 490 times, then that must be the person's sole purpose in life ..lol. And for you to keep so many scores, you're jobless and don't know what to do with your life 😒 (lol)
Let's forgive one another, let's love another so we can proudly say the Lord's prayer.
Matthew 6:12 NIV
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
P.S. - I know forgiving could be hard, that's why we ourselves should try not to piss people off. Don't talk when you're angry and treat everyone like you would like to be treated. God bless 😘

The fruits of the spirit
Recently, a friend told me that I wasn't nice and I replied "niceness is not a fruit of the spirit"
Now people usually try to argue that statement with me and I don't blame them. I, personally didn't agree with the preacher that said it. Well, the examples she gave didn't cut it for me. So I will try to break it down so hopefully it cuts it for you.
What are the fruits of the spirit?
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self-control
Nice: pleasing, agreeable, delightful.
So I guess it's safe to say being nice is a good thing.
But agreeable isn't always a good thing if you think about it. You agree to stop talking to someone so you can save your friendship. Yea, you're nice to your friend at that point but keeping malice is wrong.
Someone's spouse is spoiling you everyday and you decide to be nice enough to return the favor and sleep with him/her. Yea, he/she is glad for the reward you just gave them but hey, adultery is still wrong.
Or you were so nice, you got fired at work.
Or you were so nice, you got expelled from school.
I guess the moral of this message isn't don't be nice. But don't let being nice be an excuse to do stupid things.
Everyone is smart enough to know good from bad. But don't let the fact that being nice backfired stop you from being nice when it's right.
Be nice in love. Love knoweth no wrong, it's kind, it's gentle, it's patient (pretty much wraps up everything).
God bless you 😘

#BringBackHumanity
Someone is gisting with you and you go, "you know they still haven't found those girls". It would be nice if what came to mind is hope that they would be found and a little prayer would do. Some would say, "hope ko, who would bring them back with this lazy government we have, our president can't set things straight" or "prayer without works". Newsflash: B*tching (pardon my french) about it is not doing anything either... When your emotions are filled with anger towards the nation, you're not helping, you're making matters worse, you're losing.
Let's picture this, your sister is missing, what's your first reaction?
Well, let's talk about my reaction, I look for her personally, even if I have no volunteers, even if I won't be sure I can overcome obstacles, I would give my best cause it's my sister and that's where we're wrong, we only go out of our way for loved ones, for fame, for power, for wealth not for humanity.
Most things are never going to make sense in this life, like why there are bad rich people amongst good rich ones. Like why the good girl has no kids in her husband's house along side the ones with terrible pasts or why the promiscuous has kids after several abortions. Like why "e ni to mo way, lo mo we". Like why people that date for long have bad marriages and ones who barely knew each other can make it work. Or why 234 girls would go missing in a school in the North. North, same north that has female children unwilling to study, now it makes sense to the "lazy girls" that just want to stay home and wait for bride price why education is bad.
On my updates, I saw in my updates, I saw "ile aye, ile asan". Vanity, all is vanity. The essence of living is lost, humanity is lost. We live for selfish desires, fame, power, wealth. Which are all good things but what's the point, we all die anyway.
When Jonathan sees the girls as his daughters, when the armed forces, police force see the girls has their children, when the people see them has sisters, then we would join hands to find these gals. So the CNN lady comes to Nigeria for this issue and we haven't left our smartphones. I understand she's getting paid but I'm sure there's a part of her that has found her humanity.
Love is what we need, love is what we should fight for, and unspeakable joy is what we should yearn for. Not the white men enslaving us in the name of helping us.

The refresh button
It's easy when you're stuck, just hit the refresh button. Sometimes I head in a direction knowing fully well that I would get stuck and then I hit refresh again. I mean that's why the button is there innit? This is a new me, not doing that again and when I do, well there's the button. For every program that has frozen, that I realize is done the wrong way I refresh. The ever loving refresh helps me start all over.
The bible says:
This doesn't mean that God gets tired of us and repentance isn't going to happen after series of sins. Jesus' died for our sins (no matter how big/small) so salvation is free. So I'm not saying you can get stuck and repentance would not be granted to you, I'm saying, don't sin because you know you can ask for forgiveness after. Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God (Luke 4:12). At the end of the day, God is God and you lose if you try to outsmart him

How you gonna bind the devil?
Technology vs (opposite of technology) ..lol.
If you prefer holding your hard copy bible, it's cool, at the end of the day, it's what's in our hearts that count. And if you know you like navigating through your phone in church, don't deceive yourself, carry your hard copy.

MY SUICIDE NOTE
- God won’t put me through what I can’t bear
- There is always a way out
- It could have been worse and I should be thankful not complaining
- If I tell the ‘mountain’(problem) to move and I believe it, it would move

Inter religious marriage
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"
I know I am not married but this is when I should start thinking about it, talking about and looking forward to it. Inter religious marriages is something a lot of young people run away from. Someone actually told me it's stupid for a Christian to marry a Muslim. I think I was angry at that statement. Now the bible says we shouldn't be yoked together with unbelievers and I am not disputing that. But it goes on to say 'what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?'. Did it say Christians are righteous and other religions are wicked?
Now let's look at what righteousness means:
In Gen 6:9 we learn that Noah was a righteous man, blameless among people.
In Pro 10:21 we learn that a righteous man is one whose lips nourish many.
In Ezekiel 18:9 we learn that the righteous follow God's decrees and keep the laws (which in luke 10:27 is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself").
In Luke 10: 25-37, a certain person asked what it would take to inherit the kingdom of God and he answers himself with luke 10:27 above and Jesus goes on to explain that the Samaritan was more righteous than the preacher.
I think claiming a religion and despising others without getting to know their reasoning is just wearing a fake look. Should I have to tell you I'm a Christian before you know? It should be in my attitude. It's sad when people think you aren't a righteous person cause you haven't attended their church or hash tagged 'I'm a Christian on your tweets' or cause you don't put up a deep pm on Sunday or cause you don't believe in shouting when praying to God. I would think just being righteous is enough to show people what you really stand for.
So what's my opinion on inter religious marriage. We have just two kinds of religions, good and bad.
I wouldn't marry a Muslim that doesn't love God and humanity but doesn't mean I would marry a Christian with such traits too. It could be a Buddhist that I see as a believer. So yes I kick against inter religious marriages but I define inter religious as good and bad getting unequally yoked. What do good and bad have in common?

Water yam cake?
"So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”"
"Wisdom has built her house; she has set up it's seven pillars. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table"
It's the role of a woman to know how to cook. Well, it's part of the things that add up to being a proverbs 31 woman (Super woman, Wise woman, Mrs. Awesome etc.). So in other words, you gotta know how to cook if you want to be a respected family woman.
Anyway...
Today, I tried something different, It's called Ojojo and I think the English name should pass for water yam cake, since akara goes for bean cake. Yes? No? Anyway, I called it different cause we only have water yam (main ingredient) in my house once a year and that's in the month of February(I really don't know why). Water yam is also used to make Ikokore (no English name abeg) but since I'm not a major fan of Ikokore (ok, grated water yam pottage), I decided to fry Ojojo (grated water yam cake ..lol).
Step 1.
Cut your yam. Water yam looks like the normal yam, just smoother on the outside and you would notice the difference on the inside when cut. Slimy and all
So you slice into small pieces and pill the back like you would do if you want to prepare normal yam.
Step 2:
Grate the yam till you get the size you so desire (I'm not a chef so I cant be precise onto measurement and all that, pardon me)
Step 3: Add your ingredients, in my case, that was maggi, salt, pepper, onions and corned beef.
Ok, sorry. Mix till they blend
Thanks for stopping by. God bless.
As usual, double quotes is for bible passages and they are: Prov 31: 14-15, Gen 18: 6, Prov 9: 1-2

5 days of love (The finale)
I thought I had the 5th day figured out. Even when I didn't know what to write for the first four days, I had the fifth day written down but things don't always go as planned so I will just write as it comes.
Today is 14th of February and coincidentally or not, I am wearing red shoes. As 'emotional' as I am, I don't think I have ever fancied lovey dovey acts. Actually assumed (past tense) that's why I never really commit. So feb 14 is a day that I think is over celebrated. But it's just my personal opinion. I think its a nice day to ask a girl out, get engaged, get married or even conceive a child (if my English is right). All this school children getting involved, and other little things I won't rant about just seem unnecessary.
Today, I got reminded (cause I need a reminder every now and then) of a greater love. It hit me through a movie 'white house down'. I expected today to go a different way than it's going but just took my mind off the disappointments and thought of the movie which I just saw yesterday and it hit me 'A lot can happen in a day'. This day is gonna count and the ultimate lover is gonna do with me his perfect will and grant me my heart desires.
It's going well already, one just as to trust in time.
So today is lover's day, do something nice for your Creator by making your life beautiful. Put on some make up, let your smile heal the broken, love your neighbors, love your spouse(s). Yea if they're two, love the other by letting them go. Just be at peace with your Creator and be thankful for life.
P.S - loving doesn't end today and continues next February, it's an habit you should keep up. God loves us all ♡

5 days of love (Day 4)
When it comes to friendship, I'm guilty of not being a very good friend. Would still talk about friendship, I still have some special ones.
"A friend loves at all times".
Friends that are always there for me even when I go AWOL. Friends that I can catch up with even if its been almost a year we saw last.
Having friends is even a benefit to one's self.
"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. "
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
Have friends, love and cherish them. Pick your friends carefully
"Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”"
Hate what is evil, resent it but don't hate people, not even people that have tagged you as their enemy.
"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"
Bible passages: Prov 17:17a, Prov 27:17, Eccl 4: 9-12, 1 Cor 15:33, Matt 5:44

5 days of love (Day 3)
There was this day that my mum worked 'so hard' for dad and she ended up going to my older sister and said 'loving your dad is stressful' And my sister said love had to be stressful cause loving my mum too was stressful. It then got me thinking and I almost agreed but found a better way to put it. Love is work, hard work. And I guess one could be stressed from hardwork or could overlook the stress cause the end would be worth it.
"So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her"
There was a day I had a document issue, my dad already paid for it and I had to repay cause there was an error. I tried to take my mind off it and think about what made me happy. Well, a boy came to mind and he didn't quite match my happy thoughts and this is someone I like being with. I just thought about how I worry about him when we're not together, how it wasn't just happy moments that I liked about him. And I figured I was doing the same to my parents. Making them worry, probably stress if my mum had to give it a word ..lol. Cause they had to pay the fee again and there was no negative attitude from them towards me. So realizing that people work hard to show you love should help you understand love.
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace"
Now hardwork could be stressful not painful. When you're working hard to help someone fight an addiction they can't help cause you feel for them, that's selfless, that's love. When you're trying every bit to get someone to like you and you're losing you, feeling pain then it isn't love. And eventually you get the person and you're scared if they get to know the real you they won't send you anymore. That isn't love.
"There is no fear in perfect love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
Do you appreciate it when you feel love from someone?. Then you should love more. Hardwork always pays off therefore love too would. So love unconditionally. In the end, it's always worth it
Bible passages: Gen 29:20, Eph 4: 2-3, 1 John 4:18

5 days of love (Day 2)
"Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family."
'Like family' that means family should be close yea? Today's post is inspired by my family. Today's my dad's birthday (yay! Daddy!!). Daddy is awesome, I love that man. I love my family actually, the setting (yea, feels like a play sometimes ..lol), the diverse characters and the bond between everyone.
Let me talk about them one by one. Daddy, he loves his family and always tries to give the best he can. I can't be sure about the statistics but I know that man could spend 90% of what he earns on family.
"But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
Momma, we call her blessed. She has the most gentle heart (I call weak sometimes ..lol). But her heart is gentle and kind and she has brought us up to love and care for others.
"She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God."
Siblings and I have respected our parents. Even when we 'gossip' about them, it's cause we're going back to them to talk about it not cause we despise them and want to dishonor them.
"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you."
Our relationship with each other is actually cause we tolerate each other, help each other, listen to each other. We just love each other and we got each others back.
"A friend loves at all time, and a brother is born for adversity"
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
We wouldn't be one without God's principles in our heart. I'm glad loving my family is one thing I have gotten right so far in life and I pray I continue to channel that love into other aspects of life and I pray the same for anybody claiming it too.
P.S: We're always merry :D
"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones"
Bible passages (in double quotes): Pro 18: 24, 1 tim 5:8, Pro 31, Exodus 20:12, Pro 17:17, 1 cor 13:7, Pro 17:22

5 days of love (Day 1)
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud"
Love is patient. Sometimes, that line makes me think I have never loved. Or I'm only patient with the wrong people. But should I tag anybody as a wrong person?
"It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."
But how do I love when I'm not getting any in return
" But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
He loved us first and eventually, we're coming around. But even if the person you love doesn't eventually love back, it's not a waste of emotions cause your Creator knows and has your back any which way. And the wonderful thing about love is that the heart is so big, it can love as many as possible
"Do to others as you would have them do to you. "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful"
Loving is actually beautiful. Doing something for someone that can't repay you is one of the best feelings ever. One just has to pray that circumstances don't get to them to the extent that they stop loving. He who doesn't love doesn't know God and God is real. Best believe it. :)
Bible passages: 1 cor 13, Romans 5:8, luke 6:31-36, 1 john 4:8

Intro
Oh, hi! My name's Morolake. I have put my hands on blogging before but stopped. I won't say I like writing, I just think I like putting down thoughts. Could be useful information to someone one day, who knows?
Anyway, about the name Privileged Mo, it has nothing to do with what this blog's actually about; it's just how I see myself right about now. I mean I've been DafinestMo and my tweets/posts bla bla werent about being the finest. But I really did think I was the finest (jk). Ok I lied I still think I'm the finest ..lol. Oh well, story's getting too long. This is just saying I'm me and would talk about things generally and backing up with the bible. Yea, that's right. I love the bible, it's the most complete book ever and has the best advices ever. Since this is February, gonna start with love and I'm gonna call it the 5days of love. Stay tuned ..lol.
