Focus on the Good

"Secret" a.k.a Law of attraction, is the idea that because of our connection with a “universal energy force,” our thoughts and feelings have the ability to manipulate this energy force to our liking. According to the secret, our thoughts and feelings attract a corresponding energy to ourselves. If our thoughts are negative, we attract negative things. If our feelings are positive, we attract positive things. The essential message is that we all have the power to determine our own destiny. We can all create our own reality. Through fully and consistently applying the “secret,” we can be who we want to be and have everything we want to have.


Is there any truth in the above statement, can we determine how our lives go? Well, the fact that the law of attraction tries to dismiss the existence of God is wrong but that won't make me discard the fact that we can attract positive things.

Prov 17:22 - A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

The above passage explains to us that as long as we focus on happy, we are healed and full of life.

Phil 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

The fact that bad things may come our way doesn't mean we focus on them. Let them go, don't focus on the past if it's going to hurt you. Whatever things are of good report is all that matters and that's all our energy and focus should be on.

Psalm 119: 165 - Great peace have those who love your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.

Loving the law of God is focusing on what's good and it comes with great peace (Peace as in calmness, harmony, no war, orderliness, quietness etc). I'm sure a peaceful environment is what everyone yearns for.

1 cor 14:33a - For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
