Dad!, your car keys please?

Titilayo is a 7 year old girl loved by her dad. She knows he loves her and has come to realize that whatever she asks for, he gives to her. Today, he has said no, she’s in shock, she’s heartbroken, she’s angry, “Daddy doesn’t love me anymore!” she’s wailing but daddy is putting his feet down on this one.
“You can’t drive my car Titilayo, You can’t have my keys, not yet, not today. It’s not because I don’t love you, it’s because you are too young for such”.

YOUR PARENTS DEFINITELY, MAYBE HAD A SAY (REPOST)

As anyone would imagine, I’m more of a “mind over matter” guy…

Now here’s my thesis for today:

Your parents had a say in the outcome of your gender. Maybe one day, this theory will be proven but I believe that if as a parent, your baby didn’t come out as the gender you wished for, it’s because your partner didn’t want it at all. Sometimes, you might get what you wished for even if your partner was inclining more to the opposite, it is because s(he) was at least open to it. I want to call this the “more-than-%70 effector”. This basically means that if your desire to bear say, a boy, is at least 70%, it is strong enough to dominate at least its 100% complement of your partner’s desire. For example:

If you say you have 80% desire,

Negligence

"Beware of being negligent in carrying out this matter; why should damage increase to the detriment of the kings" - Ezra 4:22

A high tension cable was hanging loose for about two weeks and eventually took a life when nothing was done about it. Read HERE

It doesn't matter if Oluchi was coming from church or a party, it doesn't matter if she was the best in her class or not and it doesn't matter if she wasn't observant about the danger ahead of her. The fact remains a young girl was killed due to the negligence of series of people.

No Lord! (how we ignore God to follow religion) - Repost

Lovely read from Yinka Shittu
I laugh when I read Acts 10 from the ninth to the fourteenth verse. Its a funny story really.
In that passage, God had the Oh-so-Jewish Peter in a trance and showing him animals Jewish culture deemed unclean, God said:
“Go on Pete, take one of the dirty meat in the blanket before you, barbeque and eat.”

Peter replied;
“Lord? Me? Eat pork? That’s like asking me to eat my own crap! Ahn ahn! No way!”

The determination to be succesful

                                      The Marios' Empire.
"Starting from the bottom now we up" Drake said, sometimes I just wish u can wake up one morning and automatically be a boss of your own, pay ur bills with ease, ride in luxurious cars, flirt around with the ladies and write your name in the guiness book of record as one of the world richest Entertainers...NAAAA it doesn't work that way...most times I look at people like Alibaba, Basketmouth,Bovi,Ay and wonder what sacrifice they made to get to that height..
But I studied hard and knew they were determined and focused , knew exactly what they was doing. I believe they came to a point where almost gave up, but instead saw opportunity  in every problem......I AM going to raise an EMPIRE and just like Jesus said..The Gate of failure shall not prevail against it.......

Put a smile on someone's face

I have come to realize during my time under the sun,
Love and hate aren't antonyms,
They aren't the same but the fact that you don't love somebody doesn't mean you hate them.
You have your loved ones and probably just one person you hate,
Somehow the hate for that one person eats up most of your heart, leaving just a small part for your loved ones.
Love and hate require an individual to be passionate. The passion burns more when it's hate.
Unless you don't feed it. The only way we can starve hate is by feeding love and well, also like.
The little things count.
Greet everyone with a big smile.
Listen to people and pick at least one thing you can help someone with to put a smile on their face.
Give a snack to a little kid.
Hug the broken.
Cook a meal for someone.
Sing with someone.
Just make it happy while you're at it.
That way we have no time to nurture our hate.
