Negligence

"Beware of being negligent in carrying out this matter; why should damage increase to the detriment of the kings" - Ezra 4:22

A high tension cable was hanging loose for about two weeks and eventually took a life when nothing was done about it. Read HERE

It doesn't matter if Oluchi was coming from church or a party, it doesn't matter if she was the best in her class or not and it doesn't matter if she wasn't observant about the danger ahead of her. The fact remains a young girl was killed due to the negligence of series of people.

"IFs" won't bring back the lost soul but the truth remains that if a certain people (or atleast one of the people responsible) were diligent in their work, perhaps the accident would have been averted.
"Why should damage increase to the detriment of kings?". When it's not like we don't know the right things to do.

Negligence does not necessarily from not fixing loose high tension wires but from the little things.
- It's from not taking proper care of yourself or your loved ones

- It's from thinking something is little and can be ignored.
- It's from not learning to see tasks to the end and eventually it leads to big things like electrical faults, medical malpractice... etc

I pray we shall not be victims of someone's negligence and stories like this phase out with time. However, it starts with us, let's try to be diligent in all we do.
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom" - Eccl 9:10

When we accept a responsibility, we must see it to the end. The kingdom of God isn't for negligent people.
"No one who puts a hand to plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God" - Luke 9:62

Negligent people aren't accepted in places that matter. Just like the servant with one talent in Matt 25: 14-30.

God does not forget his had working children who have remained diligent in their work.
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised" - Heb 6:10-12.

No one is perfect and we all can probably relate to one time when we were childish or lost interest 'cause our hearts went elsewhere and neglected some certain things we have. It's no biggie, in Christ we are given a chance for a new beginning (if certain things in the past can still be fixed, please do but if not it's nothing to worry about). Give yourself up for changes, examine yourself and pray to The Ever Forgiving God to guide your footsteps as you progress with this change. I pray God gives us the grace to carry on In Jesus Name.

If by God's grace, you have been doing good and you feel you are taken for granted while at it, do not worry for every seed you have sown would be reaped in thousand folds.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." - Gal 6:9-10.

God bless you all, thanks for stopping by. I pray I write again soon. Thanks to my friends that always ginger me :)
